Thursday highlights
After everyone had arrived, the Barbados Tourism Authority and Team Travel hosted a reception by the pool at the Blue Horizon hotel. The speeches were short, and the food and drink was excellent. We were entertained by local musicians, and craft wares were also available.
Among our guests was West Indies Cricket superstar Joel Garner (Big Bird) who at 6’8” is one of the tallest bowlers ever to play cricket. We were also joined by Sir Carlisle Burton, former Head of the Bajan Civil Service; Lady Carlisle Burton is president of the Barbados Bridge Association.
