Report
Match 1: The Barbados team fielded their Olympic volleyball player as their
goal shooter and two of their international squad. They quickly raced into
a 3-0 lead. CSSC London soon pegged a couple back, but the Barbados team was
high quality and a steady stream of goals continued. Maybe some of the umpiring
was dubious, but the Bajans were very quick and accurate, never letting up
the pressure. CSSC London battled on, but the final score was 41-6.
Match 2: The Barbados 2nd team had their national coach and some top club
players – but CSSC London put up a terrific battle, despite sweating
gallons in the heat, and the final result was a draw 8-8. The CSSC London team
played magnificently, though they were absolutely exhausted at the end: they
scarcely had the energy to stagger to the beach afterwards!
