Report
A tense and exciting match – non stop action narrowly edged by the CSSC
London (HM Customs and Excise) team.
An indirect free-kick six minutes into the game produced the only goal – an
accurate shot from the foot of Maria Loughran which slid into the back of the
net.
Although London created more chances, and had the bulk of the possession during
the first half, the tables were turned in the second when the Bajans stepped
up their game. As the seconds ticked by, the Bajans had a number of chances
and a nailbiting last couple of minutes saw a London substitution – Tracy
Hunt for Maria Gilvergas to defend the one goal lead. Fortunately the girls
held onto their lead to achieve a well-earned victory – a full 10 points
to CSSC London, but congratulations to both teams for keeping up the spirit
of the games.
Results
CSSC London won by one goal to nil.
