Golf competitions - 4 June 2004

Colin Martyn (Ministry of Defence) wins the CS London Qualifying Golf Competition

With 2 excellent rounds of golf giving gross scores of 73 &72 Colin Martyn (Handicap 3) won the 2004 Spring Meeting held at Bedwell Park, Hatfield. Colin (pictured right) will represent CSSC London at the National Scratch final to be held at the Cardrona Golf Club, Peebles, Scotland in September. Accompanying Colin will be Lee Davies (Education & Skills) who finished 2nd and Steve Sellwood (Comets) who finished 3rd.

It was a great day for Lee Davies (Education & Skills) who won the handicap competition with net scores of 66 & 65 and qualified with his partner John Nankoo, also Education & Skills, for the Barbados Challenge 2005. Lee and John are pictured right. The other qualifiers from the team pairs were Ivor Graham and Mark Dudfield both from Inland Revenue.

Peter Sharman (Home Office) Mark Dudfield and Ivor Graham (Inland Revenue) qualified for the National Handicap competition to be held at Whitchurch Golf Club, Cardiff on the 5 August. Best of luck to all!
