Singles Night, 11 April 2007
The first Singles Night at Chadwick Street was a great success with over 100
people attending and
taking part in ice breaker activities and Speed Dating. The event attracted
a good crowd of both
Civil Servants and their friends who partied into the night to the tunes of
DJ Dan.
The Speed dating events attracted over 60 individuals, from the word go there
was much chatting
and laughing from all participants, in fact there was so much enjoyment the
organiser needed a
whistle to get individuals to move to their next three minute date.
Well done to Raslin who won the first ice breaker game and claimed a bottle
of champers. Also
congratulations to those Civil Servants who signed up to become a CSSC Member
and won prizes
in the draw to include a bottle of champagne, cinema tickets and a meal for
two.
CSSC London plan to run further singles events in the near future, please
keep an eye on our
website for further details.
"On the 11 April, I attended a speed dating session at Chadwick Street,
organised by Gemma
Fabian. When I arrived I was a bit dubious of what I was doing here,
but I got there and was
greeted pleasantly with a free drink voucher, a question sheet, and a playing
card. From reading
the question sheet which was a mini ice breaker, I started this more a
less straight away, chatting
to the other guys there, everyone was so friendly and very co-operative,
anyway I won the bottle of
Champagne for completing the ice breaker first (which I will enjoy) Thank
you Gemma.
The speed-dating adventure, I had never done it before the first man I spoke
to (Barry) I was nervous
in terms of that what do I say (where is the question sheet), but it went very
well, the 3 minutes
ended up not being long enough, it was great fun and for the first time it
was pretty much organised. I would most definitely do it again and recommend
it to my friends.
Roll on for the next one. Well done Gemma." (Raslin)
"Really great event, we had a sweet time! Meet lots of nice people,
even managed to get a phone
number or 2!" (Jonny)
